Hired a wrecker truck to move the airplane to my hangar at Felts Field.

Canopy Cover

Designed and fabricated canopy cover.

Windscreen Installation – 5

Deburred fairings and cleaned, primed and applied SIKAFLEX and installed them on the windscreen.

Drilled fairings to fuselage and dimpled and countersank the holes.

Windscreen Installation – 3

Made card stock pattern and used it to cut out right side fairing for lower windscreen fairing. Used 2×6 cut on a curve to hold fairings and used a gadget with rollers to bend flanges on fairings.

Bending with Custom Tool

Time: 6 hours.

Windscreen Installation – 2

Made card stock pattern and used it to cut out aluminum fairing for windscreen-canopy gap.

Windscreen Installation

Final fitting of windscreen. Sikaflexed windscreen.

Canopy Rollers

Drilled fastening bolt holes for sliding canopy rollers. Ordered replacement nylon blocks to try again for better canopy closure.
